Working with us: Group of companies meets start-up

The best of two worlds: Small team, big group!

We're a team of only 30 employees – not the typical thyssenkrupp company size. So even though we are part of the large, internationally operating group of companies thyssenkrupp AG, we could easily be mistaken as a start-up in terms of size.

This rare combination means that working with us combines the best of two worlds:

Top employer: Benefits for our employees

Flexibility

Work from Home

We want to help our employees manage professional life and private life with ease. Therefore, everyone can decide freely whether they want to come to the office, work from home, or, if need be, even do some work from somewhere on the road. On average, most colleagues are in the office about 2–3 days per week over a six‑month period.

Flexible hours

Everybody should be able to decide freely at what time they would like to work. To us, it makes no difference whether you start at 6 a.m. and finish early, or start at 11 a.m. but stay late - as long as the workload that was agreed upon can get done, we support you in designing your own flexible working schedule.

Remote Work

Depending on certain job‑related requirements, employees may work remotely from abroad for up to 20 working days per year. Given the approval from your team leader, and a prior check confirming that there are no potential risks (e.g., regarding tax regulations, social security, etc.), nothing stops you from having a little 'workation'.

Benefits

Training

We encourage continuous growth in personal and professional competences. There is a wide range of education and training programms offered by the 'thyssenkrupp Academy', but also by external providers, that employees can choose from. This will give anyone the opportunity to discover new fields of work, or to tap into potential they never imagined they had.

Salary & Benefits

thyssenkrupp means pleasant working environments and attractive benefits. We offer wages in line with collective agreements, 30 days of annual leave, employee discounts, a company pension scheme, and many more.

Lunch allowance

To support the restaurants in our local area, and to make sure our employees don't go hungry, we subsidise each lunch break with an amount of 3,10€.

Parking space

Parking spaces are pretty difficult to find in most urban areas. You'll be saved the trouble of looking for one each and every morning, as we are happy to offer parking spots in our underground garage free of charge. This goes for cars as well as for bikes, scooters, e-bikes, etc.

Bike Leasing

We offer you the opportunity to lease a bicycle of your choice through the provider ‘mein-dienstrad.’ This allows you to save on the purchase of your bike while enjoying comprehensive protection through insurance and service.

EV Charging Point

If you own an electric car, we've got you covered: We offer the possibility to charge your car at the charging point in our underground carpark at a very reasonable price.

Atmosphere

Open communication

We foster a speak-up culture and take feedback seriously. We want to listen and learn – preferably in direct contact. But if you prefer to give feedback online, that’s fine too, because thyssenkrupp encourages everyone to use review sites such as Kununu or Glassdoor. With honest feedback from our candidates and employees we can gauge how you perceive thyssenkrupp and how we can improve. And sometimes we can just be proud – thanks to your reviews.

Diversity

At thyssenkrupp we are convinced that differences make us successful. That’s why we welcome all applications – regardless of gender, nationality, ethnic and social origin, religion or worldview, physical ability, age, sexual orientation and identity. We value and promote diversity and exploit the potential it offers. People from 134 nations currently work for the thyssenkrupp Group. We also take a strong stance against discrimination – and for integration. We have been a PROUTEMPLOYER since 2016 and are committed to maintaining a working environment that is open, tolerant and constructive for everyone.

Teamwork

... makes the dream work. We try our best to provide a collaborative and supportive work environment built on mutual trust and respect. Therefore, team events such as beer-garden nights, summer and Christmas parties, Oktoberfest outings, and sporting events on a regular basis are pretty much non-negotiable.
