TechCenter Control Technology has its roots in the thyssenkrupp Transrapid GmbH which is still the official company name to this day. And even though we don't build high speed maglev train systems anymore, we still have a passion for innovation: Thanks to our highly skilled team members from diverse professional backgrounds, we are experts in dealing with complex projects and offer our engineering services in the following areas.

Our range of services

Mechatronic Systems

Two engineers from TechCenter Control Technology develop a mechatronic component together
  • Control and feedback control technology

  • Realization of systems with high safety requirements

  • Development of mechatronic system solutions or individual, customized components

The magnetic drive technology developed for the Transrapid, the perfected linear drive, and the contactless on-board energy transfer were key technologies for the success of the maglev train. Nowadays, we use our broad expertise to work with customers from a wide range of industries – from railway technology to elevator technology to marine applications.

Our location: Living and working in Munich

Our location: Living and working in Munich

Exterior view of the thyssenkrupp office in Munich
This Munich based office building offers modern, bright spaces for our employees to work in

Proximity to the Northern Alps, cosmopolitan flair of a big city, yet charming and relaxed: Our TechCenter Control Technology is located in a modern office facility in the north of Munich. There are plenty of great reasons to work here – just the location itself is pretty cool:

  1. Next door to Olympic park: Two minutes from our office doors lies this beautiful stretch of green, boasting sports facilities, lakes, cafés, and lots of space for recreational activities. Whether it's a run in the park after work or an outdoor lunch break with colleagues – spending time in Olympic park is always a great idea!

  2. Friendly working environment: Having quite a small team working here, our hierarchies are flat and the distances quite literally short. We appreciate the peace and quiet of small offices for undistracted work, all the while establishing an atmosphere of open communication and intense collaboration.

  3. Getting there and back easily: Our office building boasts an excellent link to some of Munich's main roads as well as to the city's public transport system. This makes getting to work and getting back home easy and pain free.

How to get to us

  • Public transport: Hop on the U-Bahn line U3. The closest stop to our office building is 'Oberwiesenfeld'.

  • By bike: Environmentally friendly and quite scenic if you take the route through Olympic park.

  • By car: We are located extremely close to some of Munich's major ring roads (Frankfurter Ring, Mittlerer Ring) and to the highways; and we are happy to offer parking spaces in our garage free of charge.
